Socrates Celestial - Coach Soc

Shipyards Boxing is privileged to have Coach Socrates Celestial, better known to most as Coach Soc, as part of our team. He is currently the Provincial Coach of Ontario's amateur team and has been for the past four years. His duties are to supervise the high-performance team and to prepare athletes for National competition. By his designations he is an AIBA One-Star Boxing Coach which holds international recognition to work at the highest-level events.  

Coaching for the past 25 years, Soc has worked with athletes successful at the local, Provincial, National and International levels. He is currently working as a member of the Canadian National Team coaching staff on a case-to-case basis but is valued as a top prospect for The Olympic Games. 

Coach Soc became “World Class” in 2015 having his Professional boxer win a WBF Title belt in the United States. He has worked with several pros throughout the years, but now takes focus on Jay “HardKnoxx” Alexander.

Coach Soc embodies the true definition of a talented coach. His knowledge, insight and philosophies of the art of boxing are a true testament to his character and we are thrilled to have him on our team.
