For any fitness and boxing level, our co-ed boxing classes incorporate drills, bag work, pad work, footwork and basic skills, mixed in with body weight and small equipment exercises to give you a great workout while learning the sweet science of boxing.
Open to boys and girls age 10-16 who are interested in learning the sport of boxing. No experience is required, but work ethic, passion and a willingness to learn is a must. This program is designed for those looking to learn and grow their boxing skills. The focus is not self defense based but rather teaching confidence, technique and skill in the sport of boxing.
Youth BJJ has arrived at Shipyards Boxing! This co-ed program will introduce participants to the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu jitsu with a focus on self defense. Participants must be prepared to work with a partner in very close contact. BJJ is a great sport to build confidence, discipline and coordination.
We are excited to add our Becoming a Badass program open to girls aged 10-16! This program is lead by our coach, Kelly Alexander, who wants to inspire girls to improve on their physical strength and power, while building confidence and bringing out their inner badass! Participants will learn the fundamentals of fitness with focus on proper exercise form as well as basic boxing and self defense techniques. Boxing Gloves included!
Having a hard time getting motivated to workout? Don't know where to start? Need to up your fitness level? This is the program for you! This is a 10 week program to get you started on your fitness journey and improve your strength and how you workout. Participants will learn proper movements, get a great workout and feel confident in their fitness level. Participants will receive a sandbag and exercise bands to use in class and at home to continue their journey to becoming a badass!
